Beavers - 6 to 8 years
Try new things. Make new friends. Joining Beavers is just the beginning of your big adventure.
Beaver Scouts are the youngest members of 2AC and are the Scouts and Explorers of the future.
The Beaver colony accepts girls and boys who are rising 6 or older. We normally meet at St. John’s Methodist Church Hall, Woodside Road, Amersham-on-the-Hill every Friday evening from 17.15 until 18.30 during term time.
Beaver Scouts take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities and 2AC events.
Cubs - 8 to 10½ years
Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.
2AC has a very active Cub Scout pack of girls and boys who are between 8 and 10.5 years old. They normally meet at St. John’s Hall, Woodside Road, Amersham-on-the-Hill every Friday evening from 18.30 until 19.45 during term time.
Cub Scouts take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging including games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors.
They also take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers which are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.
Scouts - 10½ to 14 years
Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.
2AC has a very active Scout pack of girls and boys who are between 8 and 10.5 years old. They normally meet at St. John’s Hall, Woodside Road, Amersham-on-the-Hill every Friday evening from 19.00 until 20.30 during term time.
Scouts take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging including hiking, orienteering, camping, cooking, climbing, archery, shooting, abseiling, kayaking and sailing.
The year normally ends with a week summer camp, this is where all the skills learnt during the year are utilised.
Explorers - 14 to 18 years
Try more. See more. Do more. At Explorers you'll get the chance to dream big, find your place in the world and make memories to last a lifetime.
The Gladiators pack is for older people (10.5+) and is more challenging that scouts.
Gladiators will be given more responsibilities, more independence and harder activities that will help grow their mindset future.
