Christmas Post

This Group operates the Christmas Post for the Amersham area (getting on for 20 years now) and teams up with Scout Groups in Chesham so cards can be sent to either town.
Together with Chesham we design and have printed our own stamps, which are sold (15p in 2004) from the end of November through local shops, which also have the posting boxes.
In 2004, stamps and post boxes available at Brian Fullers, Ivy Stores, Mayo’s, Terry’s, The Pet Shop, One Stop, St John’s Church Amersham Library, French’s, Broadway Newsagents, Berkeley Stores, McMinn Centre,Brackleys, White Hill Centre, Pearces Hardware, Bulldog Newsagents.
There are usually at least 3 collections (once a week, depending how full the boxes get!), parents sort them into towns and roads at our hall and then make deliveries (a couple of roads each) with their scout.

Thousands of Cards are delivered. We also operate a service for businesses wanting to send cards locally. They can be collected, stamped and delivered.
