Christmas Post

2nd Amersham Common Scout Group & The Gladiator Explorer Scout Unit has operated the Christmas Post for the Amersham area since the late 1980s and teams up with Scout Groups in Chesham so cards can be sent to either town.
Together with Chesham we design and have printed our own stamps, which are sold from the end of November through local shops, which also have the posting boxes.
There are usually 2-3 collections (once a week, depending how full the boxes get!), parents sort them into towns and roads at our hall and then make deliveries (a couple of roads each) with their scout.

Thousands of Cards are delivered. We also operate a service for businesses wanting to send cards locally. They can be collected, stamped and delivered.
