Spring 2012 Programme

Welcome back to the Spring Term of Willowdale Beavers. This term we say goodbye to Amy, Simon, Laurance, and Cameron as they move up to Cubs and we say hello to Rowan, Casper, Luke and Alister Maya, Samire, Rishan and Patrick who have joined us.
 
I would like to highlight a few things:

1. We start Beavers at 5.15pm and finish at 6.30pm. Please try not to come too early as we are busy setting up for the session. Can you also please ensure that you are prompt with picking up your child as we only have a little time to clear the hall before the Scouts arrive. Beavers must be dropped off and picked up in the hall, as children are not allowed to go into the car park to find parents.
2. Could you please check your emails regularly and read our notice board which is located in the hallway entrance, as we sometimes have to change the programme.
3. We hope to provide all Beavers with a fun, stimulating and safe environment. In support of this, the 2AC Scout Group has a Behaviour Policy that applies to all sections of the Group, including Beavers. If we have to speak to the same Beaver more than 3 times in an evening then the parents will be informed.
4. We try and provide a balanced programme that will cover most badges. In the past, some Beavers have not wanted to take part in the planned activities. If you think that your child may not enjoy an evening, it may be better that they do not attend that evening, rather than they come along and not get involved or become a distraction to others.

If you cannot make any of these dates could you please swap with another parent and also let me know, so that I can change the rota.
The support of Beaver parents is really important to the successful running of the Group, so if you are able to spare a little time with any of the activities, please let me know. Although Young Leaders help out, I am unable to count them in my adult to Beaver safety ratio as required by the Scout Association.
