Kimmeridge Summer Camp 2005

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award

Unsupervised 26-mile overnight hike in the Purbeck Hills starting from Scout HQ on 27th July at 10am.

Our project was to find out about the local history of the area. We chose this because we thought the area was full of interesting history such as the deserted village of Tyneham and the local steam railway.

SUMMER CAMP 2005 Kimmeridge Bay

A very large hill which we had to walk up. It was slippery but ....

... We made it in the end

In Corfe, we bought some rubber eggs and plastic swords. We drank lots of tea

We next walked along the Lulworth range walks. We were told that things might explode and kill us!

This is Worbarrow Bay. The very steep hill we rolled down is in the top right corner

Tyneham was deserted during the war and left for 60 years.

The Team - AB, AR, LP, RL, GB.
